Vettaiyan starring Rajinikanth in the lead is an upcoming multi-starrer that is all set to release in theaters on October 10, 2024. The Dussehra release film is written and directed by TJ Gnanavel, and Vettaiyan promotions are in full swing at the moment. 

On Wednesday, never before seen Vettaiyan stills featuring Rajinikanth in the titular 'Hunter' cop / encounter specialist Superintendent of Police character, alongside Ritika Singh as Vettaiyan's colleague ASI Roopa, Fahadh Faasil as Patrick, Manju Warrier as Vettaiyan's wife Thara, Dushara Vijayan as sister Saranya, and Amitabh Bachchan as Vettaiyan's superior officer Sathyadev were unveiled. 

Vettaiyan is a venture of Lyca Productions, and has Anirudh Ravichander for music., SR Kathir for cinematography, Anbariv for stunts,  and Philomin Raj for edits. The movie also stars Rana Daggubati as Natraj, Rao Ramesh as DGP D. Shrinivas, Kishore as SP Harish Kumar, Shaji Chen as Chennai Police Commissioner among others.
