An accidental re-tweet by the ones managing the official handle of AGS Entertainment, producers of Vijay's latest release The Greatest Of All Time, is proving a costly for the banner on X. On Friday, AGS Entertainment's official X handle, seems to have reposted a positive review about the movie but the post had come with an all Tamil caption, taking a derogatory dig on star actor Ajith.

While AGS Entertainment were quick to rectify their mistake by undoing the repost, the handle seems to have added fuel to fire by dedicating a dialogue in reference of Ajith, to cricketer MS Dhoni. The Greatest Of All Time directed by Venkat Prabhu comes with a scene where Vijay asks his daughter in the movie, whose fan she is. The scene has Vijay's daughter held captive with a sharp object pointed towards her neck, and her back facing towards the one who is holding her captive. 

Vijay's question in this scene is a hint to his daughter to use Ajith's technique from the Vedalam (2015) movie, where he his hits the one holding him in a similar position to her, with the back of his head. What solidifies the Ajith reference, is the background score of Mankatha (2011) playing in the scene. Mankatha is a famous collaboration of actor Ajith's with The Greatest Of All Time director Venkat Prabhu, and music composer Yuvan Shankar Raja. 

Actor Ajith has completely disassociated with the moniker 'Thala' since December 1, 2021. He prefers to go by Ajith, Ajith Kumar or AK. But fans who've tagged him Thala since Dheena (2001), are spotted to date referring to the actor by that nickname.

So AGS Entertainment's repost of CSK's tweet dedicating The Greatest Of All Time's Ajith reference dialogue to MS Dhoni (who also goes by 'Thala'), immediately after the social media faux pas, is not being received well by Ajith fans.

It is worth mentioning here that the Ajith reference dialogue in The Greatest Of All Time movie, is placed during a CSK match. MS Dhoni's image also makes an appearance in Vijay's film, that is currently on day 3 of its theatrical run.
