Raghuthatha starring National award winning actress Keerthy Suresh in the lead, is an upcoming Tamil movie that is all set to release in theaters on August 15, 2024. The movie meets Chiyaan Vikram's Thangalaan, and horror thriller Demonte Colony 2 at the box-office, and had its first trailer release today. 

Raghuthatha is a period comedy drama, and Keerthy Suresh's character in it has been unveiled as a woman who defied norms way before it was in vogue. While the mystery behind the core-plot is kept intact, it does seem obvious that it requires Kayalvizhi (Keerthy Suresh) to discreetly learn Hindi, in an anti-Hindi environment. 

Raghuthatha titled after a famous comedy line from the cult Bakkiyaraj hit Indru Poi Naalai Vaa (1981), marks the Tamil debut of Hombale Films, producers of PAN-Indian hits like KGF (Kannada), and Salaar (Telugu). 

Raghuthatha also marks the debut of writer Suman Kumar as a director, who is known for his writing on Raj & DK's popular Hindi OTT series - The Family Man (Manoj Bajpayee, Priyamani, Samantha), Farzi (Shahid Kapoor, Vijay Sethupathi, Raashi Khanna) and Guns & Gulaabs (Dulquer Salmaan, Rajkumar Rao). 

Also starring M.S.Baaskar, Ravindra Vijay, Devadarshni, Jayakumar, Rajeev Ravindranathan, Anandsami, Rajesh Balachandiran, Ismath Banu. Aadhira Pandilakshmi, Janaki, Chu Khoy Sheng, KS. Mippu, Mukesh, Manoj Kumar Kalaivanan among others, Raghuthatha has been censored with a clean U.

The movie has Sean Roldan for music, Yamini Yagnamurthy for cinematography, T.S. Suresh for edits, Ramcharantej Labani for production design, and Manoj Kumar Kalaivanan for dialogues.
