Meiyazhagan is actor Karthi's 27th film which is written, directed by C. Prem Kumar of 96 (2018) fame. Suriya and Jyotika's 2D Entertainment, the production house behind the movie has now officially announced Meiyazhagan's release date as September 27, 2024. A new Meiyazhagan poster featuring Karthi as a bull tamer has also been unveiled.

Actress Sri Divya plays female lead in Meiyazhagan; The movie also stars Rajkiran, Devadharshini, Ilavarasu, Karunakaran among others. Sakthi Film Factory is presenting Meiyazhagan in theaters, and the film's technical crew includes Mahendiran Jayaraju for cinematography, Govind Vasantha for music, R.
