One of India's largest festival seasons, Diwali, falls this year between October 29, 2024 [Tuesday], and November 3, 2024 [Sunday]. It's also the season when big-budget Indian films debut in order to capitalize on the theater crowd surrounding the festival.

Currently atleast three Tamil movies are looking to race at the Diwali 2024 box-office, and with official announcements pending, they are Suriya's big budget Kanguva, Ajith's action thriller Vidaa Muyarchi, and the Vetrimaaran directed long-awaited sequel Viduthalai: Part 2, starring Soori, Vijay Sethupathi.  

Production-wise, Kanguva has completed shooting, and post-production is underway. Vidaa Muyarchi is set to begin its next schedule at Azerbaijan soon. Viduthalai: Part 2 has a few patchworks left, which will be completed along with post-production side by side.
