The Greatest of All Time first single Whistle Podu, composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja and crooned by The GOAT's lead actor Vijay himself released marking the Tamil New Year on April 14, 2024. 24 hours since the song's release, the lyric video stands gloating of a top YouTube record, in terms of view count. However, the general reception of the Whistle Podu song among Vijay fans, who also happen to be Yuvan Shankar Raja enthusiasts seems lukewarm. 

Fans also seem critical of some of Madan Karky's lyrics, especially the ones in reference to actor Vijay's highly anticipated political entry. Some of the X posts in response to the Whistle Podu song follows:
