Kanguva, the big budget fantasy-entertainer starring actor Suriya in dual roles had a new poster release on Sunday, marking the occasion of Tamil New Year 2024. Sathya Jyothi Films, the banner that is producing Kanguva along with UV Creations, captioned the new poster, "Where the past and present collide, a new future begins"

Written by Adi Narayana and directed by Siva, Kanguva's plot was revealed by Amazon Prime Video OTT platform as 'a story that travels 500 years from 1700’s to 2023' and that it is 'about a hero who has to fulfil a mission left unfinished.'

Kanguva is scheduled to release in theaters this year in multiple languages, besides Tamil. The film has Devi Sri Prasad for music.
