Lyca Productions unveiled a new set of posters for their upcoming movie Indian 2 on Sunday, marking the occasion of Tamil New Year/ Vishnu on April 14, 2024. A long-awaited sequel from Kamal Haasan and director Shankar, Indian 2's release date is expected to be June 13, 2024.

A vigilante action, and a direct sequel to Indian (1996), Indian 2 sees the return of Senapathy from Hong Kong, after learning about the ongoing corruption and injustice in India through social media. Lyca Productions captioned the unveiling of new posters with, "Senapathy is all set to resurrect with zero tolerance in INDIAN-2. Gear up for the epic sequel in cinemas from June 2024.  Consider it a red alert wherever injustice prevails." 

Indian 2's is also scheduled to release in dubbed versions of Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi (as Hindustani 2), and Telugu (as Bharateeyudu 2). The movie has Anirudh Ravichander for music, Ravi Varman for cinematography, Sony Music as its audio label and Netflix for post-theatrical OTT rights.
