Suriya 44 (tentative title) is a recently announced project, written and directed by Karthik Subbaraj, and starring actor Suriya Sivakumar in the lead. The movie is a joint production venture of Suriya's 2D Entertainment, and filmmaker Karthik Subbaraj's Stone Bench Films. 

Latest we hear, Suriya 44 is all set to begin shooting from May, 2024. Makers have revealed that Suriya 44 has been on-the-cards for two and a half years now. Suriya 44 was announced out of the blue with no prior hints whatsoever, and this too has also been revealed by the makers as an intentional decision.
