Kochadaiiyaan out of Pongal race

Superstar's Kochadaiyaan is one of the most anticipated films. The makers had initially planned to release the film for Pongal. Already Vijay's Jilla and Ajith's Veeram are also in the Pongal race. Since three most awaited biggies have announced the film release for Pongal, the theatre owners in Tamil Nadu have decided to accommodate only two films Jilla and Veeram for Pongal.

Kochadaiiyan release has now been pushed to a later date. Buzz is that the film may hit the screens in April 2014 for Tamil New Year. Also the audio of the film might be launched on a later date and not on December 12 as announced earlier. However there is no official confirmation from the makers. 

The post production work is happening in full swing. The film will feature Rajinikanth in dual role. The start cast includes Deepika Padukone, Jackie Shroff, Sarath Kumar, Aadhi, Shobana and others. Music is by AR Rahman. 'Kochadaiyaan' is jointly produced by Eros International and Media One Global Entertainment.
