Actor Jayam Ravi's 32nd movie is a fantasy film titled Genie and the movie recently had a first look poster release where Jayam Ravi could be seen in the 'genie' avatar as known in popular Arabian Nights* tales. Now Genie's second look poster is out, and the actor is seen alongside his co-stars Krithi Shetty, Kalyani Priyadarshan, Wamiqa Gabbi, Devayani among others in it. 

Genie is written and directed by debutant Bhuvanesh Arjunan, a former associate of director Mysskin. A Vels Film International production, Genie's technical crew includes AR Rahman for music, Mahesh Muthuswamy for cinematography, and Pradeep E Ragav for edits. 

Genie is scheduled to release in theaters this year, in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi languages. *Arabian Knights or One Thousand and One Nights is a collection of Middle Eastern folktales compiled in the Arabic language during the Islamic Golden Age. The best-known tale associated with this book is Alladin and The Wonderful Lamp, which though added later, popularized the book and the fictional character 'genie'.
