Tamil filmmaker Vetrimaaran had the screening of his intense two-part crime thriller - Viduthalai Part 1 and Viduthalai Part 2 at the 53rd International Film Festival of Rotterdam (IFFR) today.  Vetrimaaran was joined by his lead actors Soori and Vijay Sethupathi at the IFFR screening and images and videos of the team celebrating post screening has started to make its way on social media. 

Vetrimaaran's home production banner Grass Roots Films took to the X platform to share a 3-minute glimpse of the atmosphere post Viduthalai movies' screening at Rotterdam.

Viduthalai movie follows the story of a newly recruited police constable who is tasked to arrest the leader of a separatist group in Tamil Nadu. Comedy actor Soori made his debut as a lead with Viduthalai: Part 1 (released March 31, 2023 in theaters), and gave one of the top 5 performances in Tamil cinema that year. 

Vijay Sethupathi played Vaathiyar Perumal, the separatist leader in the movie, and currently updates on Viduthalai: Part 2's theatrical release date is awaited. Viduthalai: Part 1 was jointly produced by RS Infotainment, Grass Roots Films and distributed by Udhayanidhi Stalin's Red Giant Movies.
