Soon after the Lal Salaam audio launch event which saw the release of all five songs from the Aishwarya Rajinikanth directed movie, the makers unveiled a lyric video for the Jalaali song, featuring glimpses of Rajinikanth as Moideen Bhai from the movie. 

Jalaali is composed by AR Rahman, has lyrics by Mashook Rahman, A R Rahman, and is sung by A R Rahman and Sarath Santosh. Jalali song's arabic percussion is by Hamta Baghi.  

Starring Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth in the lead and Rajinikanth in an extended cameo appearance, Lal Salaam titled after the South Asian communist chant is a sports drama that also deals with Hindu-Muslim religious conflicts.

The movie is a production venture of Lyca Productions and is being released by Udhayanidhi Stalin's Red Giant Movies in Tamil Nadu. Sony Music holds the audio rights and Sun TV holds the satellite rights.
