[Updated: January 29, 2024] Sivakarthikeyan's January 12 release Ayalaan is a sci-fi eco thriller comedy that revolves around him and his outer space buddy saving the earth from an evil scientist. The movie is set to make its Tamil digital premiere on the Sun Nxt streaming platform. At this time, buzz has it that Ayalaan's OTT release date is February 16, 2024 [Friday], though an official annoucement on the same awaits.

Ayalaan has Sivakarthikeyan play Tamizh, a happy-go-lucky man who enounters an alien crash=-landing on earth. Tamizh befriends the character voiced by actor Siddharth, and names him Tattoo. Together they take on a rogue scientist Aryan (Sharad Kelkar) who plans to extract a deadly Nova gas by using a mysterious element called Sparc.  

Also starring Rakul Preet Singh, Yogi Babu, Karunakaran, Isha Koppikar, Bhanu Priya among others, Ayalaan is written and directed by R. Ravukumar, and has AR Rahman for music, Nirav Shah for cinematography. The movie comes with a runtime of 155 minutes and is produced by KJR Studios, Phantom FX Studios.
