Indian 2 - Kamal Haasan, Shankar's much anticipated sequel to their 1996 blockbuster Indian is expected to release in theaters this year. At this time, Indian 2's OTT release details have been unveiled. Post its theatrical run, vigilante action drama Indian 2 will make its digital premiere on Netflix, and the film will stream in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi languages. 

Kamal Haasan reprises his role as senior vigilante-on-the-run Senapathy, who was once a freedom fighter for India. In the first movie he fought corruption in a post-British India by skillfully murdering the highest bribe-taking officials of the government. This time, politicians seems to have come under Senapathy's anti-corruption radar.

Indian 2's technical crew has Anirudh Ravichander for music, Ravi Varman for cinematography and Sreekar Prasad for the edits. The movie's ensemble includes SJ Suryah, Kajal Aggarwal, Siddharth, Rakul Preet Singh, Priya Bhavani Shankar, four late actors - Nedumudi Venu, Vivek, Manobala, G. Marimuthu, Bollywood actor Gulshan Grover, Samuthirakani, Bobby Simha, Kalidas Jayaram, Guru Somasundaram, Delhi Ganesh, George Maryan among others.
