Sathya Jyothi Films, the production banner behind actor Dhanush's upcoming January 12 release Captain Miller, has updated that advance bookings for the movie have opened in all centers. Captain Miller is a Tamil language period action thriller that is set to hit theater screens for Pongal, 2024, and the movie's first show (FDFS) is set to begin at 9 AM in Tamil Nadu.

Written and directed by Arun Matheswaran who has films like Rocky (2021) and the direct OTT release Saani Kaayidham (2022) to his credit, Captain Miller is touted to be a period action adventure that is high on drama.  

The movie is set in colonial era India, and revolves around a former British-India soldier turned renegade Analeesan. Dhanush who plays this character also goes by Eesa/Captain Miller in the movie, the latter of which in real life is the nom de guerre of the first suicide bomber of LTTE.
