Rebel starring GV Prakash in the lead is an upcoming political action drama, that is written and directed by debutant Nikesh.R.S. The movie was announced to have cleared censor with an U/A today, and MovieCrow learns that the Rebel release date is January 26, 2024 i.e. Republic day Friday. An official announcement on the same is however awaited. 

Set in 1980s Kerala, Rebel has GV Prakash and Kollywood debutant Mamitha Baiju play college students, and the film is based on real-life incidents. Rebel teaser (watch below) showcased GV Prakash as a character who 'fought for Tamil'. A production venture of Studio Green, Rebel also stars Venkitesh.vp, Shalu Rahim, Karunas, Adhithya Baskar, Kalloori Vinoth, Subramaniya Siva, among others. 

The technical crew of this film includes GV Prakash for music, Arun Radhakrishnan for cinematography, Sakthi Saravanan for action and Vetre Krishnan for edits.
