The teaser of Japan starring actor Karthi in the lead was unveiled earlier this evening in Tamil, Telugu languages. The video with a runtime of little more than a minute reveals Karthi's titular character as a heist mastermind who has 182 cases on him, and has police officials from 4 different states after him. written and directed by Raju Murugan of the National award winning Joker (2016) fame, Japan is scheduled to release in theaters this Diwali, 2023 i.e. November. 

A Dream Warrior Pictures production, Japan also stars Anu Emmanuel, Telugu actor Sunil, KS Ravikumar among others and has GV Prakash for music. The movie has Ravi Varman for cinematography, Anl Arasu for stunts and Philomin Raj for edits.
