Prime Media, distributors of Jailer in the US have confirmed a whopping $1.5 million (Rs. 12 Cr.) gross from premiere and day 1 collection, till 9: 30 PM EST. Jailer's premiere gross alone totals to $948 K, placing it in the top 3 USA premiere collections of Tamil movies. 

Considering the scale of Jailer which is in no way comparable to the Ponniyin Selvan films or Rajinikanth's own Kabali for that matter, the film doing a premiere business of close to $1 million comes across as a remarkable feat.  The per screen average of Jailer in USA is also said to be at par with Kabali, which had way more screens and hype around its release in 2016.
