The Telugu release of Rajinikanth's latest release Jailer has been handled by Asian Cinemas, and the vintage Superstar essence seems to have worked well with that section of the regional audience. Even on day 1 of the film's release, the public response to Jailer has exceeded expectations. In lieu of the same, Jailer's Telugu distributors have moved for extra screens for the Rajinikanth starrer. 

Speaking of the same, producer Dil Raju has told the media, "In both Telugu states extra theatres are being added since the matinee (i.e. afternoon of Jailer's release today). It's a huge hit. We will get to know the range of the film in a few days. We will disclose the official numbers after the 15th of August...A very good number of theatres are booked for Bholaa Shankar (releasing tomorrow) already. Until the 15th of August, that film will have first preference and after that, based on occupancies we will allot the theatres accordingly."

It is worth mentioning here that Jailer is a Tamil film that has been dubbed and released in Telugu. The Telugu box-office, is currently gearing up for the grand release of Tollywood star Chiranjeevi's Bholaa Shankar (remake of Tamil hit Vedalam) tomorrow i.e. August 11, 2023.
