Actor Rajinikanth starrer Jailer is all the rage right now, and the Tamil movie written and directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and produced by Sun Pictures is all set to release in theaters from August 10, 2023. The Karnataka release of any Rajini movie has been welcomed with open arms given the 72 year old star's roots, but Jailer in particular seems to be doing extremely good pre-sales in the Bengaluru region of the state.

Firstly, Jailer has managed to score a whopping total of 155 early morning shows via online bookings alone. This number is only behind direct Kannada movie KGF: Chapter 2 which released in April, 2022. It is also the highest number for a non-Kannada movie, with Telugu release RRR holding the No: 2 spot with 144 early morning shows.  

While a few more early morning shows for Jailer are expected to get added, advance bookings for Jailer in Bengaluru has already surpassed the Rs. 3 Cr+ mark. With 3 more days left for Jailer's release, the demand for tickets and the price at which they are selling, Jailer is expected to open with a double digit mark in the Karnataka region. Currently, the highest opening day box-office record in Karnataka is held by the 2023 Kannada movie Kranti (starring Darshan in the lead) which opened with a gross of Rs. 12.85 Cr.
