Rajinikanth starrer Jailer written and directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and produced by Sun Pictures is an upcoming action thriller that is all set to release in theaters from August 10, 2023 [Thursday]. The movie's entire overseas release rights has been acquired by Ayngaran International and they made the official announcement through their twitter handle.

Jailer also stars Tamannah Bhatia, Ramya Krishnan, Jackie Shroff, Mohanlal (in a cameo), Shivarajkumar, among others in pivotal characters. The movie has Rajini playing Muthuvel Pandian - a cop 'loaded with mass, class and stylish elements'.
