Officially announced in January, Leo starring actor Vijay in the lead has been in production since the beginning of the year. The multi-starrer movie written and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj is currently being filmed at Chennai, and word has it that the entire shooting will be wrapped by this month i.e. end of June, 2023. 

Leo produced by 7 Screen Studio is scheduled to release on October 19, 2023, and while the post-production happens, Vijay will be beginning a new project titled Thalapathy 68 (tentative) with director Venkat Prabhu.  It has also been revealed that actress Madonna Sebastin will be seen shaking a leg with Vijay in Leo.She was recently spotted at the shooting spot of Leo in Chennai, where a dance number was being filmed.

A gangster action thriller, Leo also stars Trisha, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Sarja, Priya Anand, Mysskin, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Mansoor Ali Khan, TENET actor Denzil Smith, late Manobala among others. Former RJ turned sports commentator Pradeep Muthu and Leo director Lokesh Kanagaraj will be making special appearances in the film. The movie has music by Anirudh.
