Lal Salaam, titled after the South Asian communist greeting is an upcoming Tamil movie written and directed by Aishwarya Rajinikanth. Filmmaker's star-actor father Rajinikanth plays a pivotal role in this movie, and the makers have unveiled a first look poster of his character. Rajinikanth plays a Muslim character named Moideen Bhai, and the movie is set against the backdrop of cricket and communism. 

Actors Vikranth and Vishnu Vishal play lead roles in the movie, and the poster also reveals that Lal Salaam is set in Mumbai, India. Lal Salaam is bankrolled by Lyca Productions, and the film's technical crew includes A.R.Rahman for music, Vishnu Rangasamy for cinematography, Ramu Thangraj for art and B. Pravin Baaskar for edits.
