Vetrimaaran directed Viduthalai: Part 1, which is the first movie in his 2-part film based on real life incidents of police brutality has released in theaters today. The movie marks the debut of comedian Soori as a lead and he is paired opposite actress Bhavani Sre in the movie. Actor Vijay Sethupathi appears in an extended cameo role and the film has Ilaiyaraaja for music. Early reviews of Viduthalai: Part 1:
