The first single from Mani Ratnam directed Ponniyin Selvan 2 aka PS-2 is out now in all languages. The AR Rahman composed number titled Aga Naga in Tamil, Ruaa Ruaa in Hindi, Kirunage in Kannada, Aaganandhe in Telugu and Akamalar in Malayalam was teased as a background score in the prequel, and is now out in full glory. 

Aga Naga, Akamalar and Aaganandhe have vocals by Shaktishree Gopalan; Their lyrics are penned by Ilango Krishnan, Rafeed Ahamed and Anantha Sriram respectively. Kirunage is sung by Rakshita Suresh and has lyrics by Jayanth Kaikini. Ruaa Ruaa has lyrics by Gulzar and is sung by Shilpa Rao. 

Ponniyin Selvan 2 also starring Vikram, Aishwaraya Rai Bachchan in dual roles and Jayam Ravi is scheduled to release in theaters on April 28, 2023. Tips Music holds the audio rights to this period drama set in the 9th century Chola era in Tamil Nadu. Amazon Prime Video holds the post-theatrical OTT rights.
