Lal Salaam, titled after the South Asian communist salute is an upcoming Tamil movie starring actors Vishnu Vishal and Vikrant in the lead. Star actor Rajinikanth will be making a special appearance in the movie, and latest we hear comedian Senthil is also part of the film. Rajini and Senthil have previously worked in numerous movies and the duo is known for memorable comedy tracks from those films. However in Lal Salaam they seem to be donning more serious roles.

Written and directed by Aishwarya Rajinikanth of 3 (2012) and Vai Raja Vai (2015) fame, Lal Salaam has AR Rahman for music and is schduled to release in theaters this year. Currently Senthil and Vishnu Vishal are filming a schedule in Gingee - a town in Villupuram district of Tamil Nadu. This shoot will go on for 35 days while Rajinikanth will be joining the crew once he completes his other project Jailer. 

Lyca Productions is bankrolling Lal Salaam with Vishnu Rangasamy for cinematography, Ramu Thangaraj for art, Poornima Ramasamy for costumes and B. Pravin Baaskar for edits.
