It has now been officially announced that the digital and satellite rights of actor Jayam Ravi's upcoming film Agilan, have been acquired. Agilan releases in theaters on March 10, 2023 and Screen Scene Media Entertainment, producers of the film have confirmed that the movie's post theatrical OTT premiere will be on Zee 5 streaming platform.

Similarly Agilan's post-theatrical TV premiere will be on Kalaignar TV Tamil channel. Agilan's OTT release date and TV release date await announcement. Agilan is written and directed by N. Kalyana Krishnan, who has previously written screenplay for Iyarkai (2003), E (2006), Peranmai (2009), and directed Bhooloham (2015). 

Also starring Priya Bhavani Shankar, Tanya Ravichandran among others, the movie follows the story of a crane operator who carries out illegal activities at the harbour. How the police zero in on him and why he came about being a working-class don forms the rest of the story.
