Ajith starrer Thunivu and Vijay starrer Varisu clashed at the Pongal box-office on january 11, 2023 and both films have been doing extremely well in their home state of Tamil Nadu (TN). The cumulative gross of both movies at the week 1 has summed to Rs. 165 Cr. and the movie-wise split up of the same can be seen here:
