It has now been officially updated that actor Ajith's Thunivu, which has been doing extraordinarily well in North America has now crossed the $1M mark in the region. The North American market includes prime locations like USA and Canada and this is the first time an Ajith starrer has grossed over a million dollars in said overseas market. 

Sarigama Cinemas, the banner that distributed Thunivu in North America via Lyca Productions officially confirmed the same just before midnight.
