The trailer of actor Vijay's upcoming Pongal release Varisu [titled Vaarasudu in Telugu] was expected in the first week of January, 2023 around New Year's, and now it has been confirmed that the video will be unveiled on January 2, 2023 [Monday]. An official announcement on the same is expected today along with an update on Varisu trailer release time.

Produced by Dil Raju's Sri Venkateswara Creations, Varisu is being presented by 7 Screen Studio in Tamil Nadu. The film, touted to be a family-action entertainer is directed by Vamshi Paidipally and has S. Thaman for music.

Vijay plays a happy-go-lucky man named Vijaya Rajendran in the movie, for whom things change when his foster father dies unexpectedly, and he finds himself in the middle of a multi-million dollar business empire. Varisu/Vaarasudu is scheduled to hit theater screens on January 12, 2023 [Thursday].
