AK 62: Trisha's comment on playing Ajith's heroine

AK 62 (tentative title) is actor Ajith's next movie after his Pongal release Thunivu. The movie was officially announced in March this year with director Vignesh Shivan. Lyca Productions is the banner backing AK 62 with Anirudh for music. For a while now, buzz has been that actress Trisha, who made a big impact this year with Ponniyin Selvan: Part One (PS1) is in talks to play female lead of AK 62

 

Trisha is currently promoting her December 30 release Raangi, her second film with Lyca Productions after Ponniyin Selvan [Part 2 of which is set to release in 2023]. During the same, the actress was asked to comment on AK 62 and this is what she had to say, "I cannot say whether it is happening or not. It's not my place, I cannot say this as an actor. As time goes, everyone will know what film I'm doing and what I'm not doing."

 

Trisha is a part of actor Vijay's Thalapathy 67 too, which has also not been officially announced yet. The actress summed up her statement about being part of both the movies as, "(Both) these films will be starting soon. Everything will be out in the open then." AK 62 is expected to begin shooting in February, 2023 at Mumbai.
