Thunivu, actor Ajith's upcoming Pongal release with director H. Vinoth is currently gearing up for a third single release titled Gangstaa on Christmas day. It was also recently confirmed that Thunivu will be releasing in Telugu as Thegimpu; Radhakrishna Entertainments and Ivy productions are presenting this heist entertainer for Sankranthi in Andhra Pradesh and Telengana. 

While not officially announced, it is also expected that Thunivu trailer will also be out this festive season on New Year's eve. Currently, the supporting cast lineup of Thunivu has been revealed as Bagavathi Perumal who plays a police officer, actor Bala Saravanan and 'Pattimandram' Mohana Sundaram, both of whom play online reporters and Mahanadi Shankar who is usually seen in villain/ character roles.

Also present in Thunivu are Bigg Boss Tamil 5 contestant and social media sensation GP Muthu, 'KGF Men's wear' Vicky aka Vignesh. The latter owns a men's retail shop in Washermenpet, Chennai and is popular on YouTube for presenting his business tactics in an entertaining way.
