Actor Dhanush's latest release Thiruchitrambalam hit theaters worldwide on August 17, 2022, and has gone on to register the biggest opening for the Tamil star in Australia. In its first four days of theatrical run, Thiruchitrambalam has managed to gross A$ 149,310 i.e. Rs. 82. 22 lakh.

This number is even higher than the opening weekend collection of Dhanush's 2018 film Vada Chennai which not only released in the pre-pandemic era, but also had a 5 day opening weekend.
