Director H. Vinoth who has films like Valimai (2022), Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru (2017) and Sathuranga Vettai (2014) to his credit is currently busy directing Ajith in a bank robbery film, tentatively titled Thala 61. However prior to the bank-robber script, H. Vinoth is said to have narrated a politics-based story to Ajith which the actor did not want to be his 61st movie. The story is then said to have travelled to Vijay Sethupathi and little is known of what happened there.

Now buzz in the Tamil film industry is that director H. Vinoth has approached Kamal Haasan with the same political script, and that the Ulaganayagan has given his nod to the one-line. It remains to be seen if Kamal Haasan and H. Vinoth end up working on this project in the future.
