Natchathiram Nagargiradhu is filmmaker Pa. Ranjith's sixth movie as director and the movie stars Kalaiyarasan, Dushara Vijayan, Kalidas Jayaram and Sarpatta Parambarai fame Shabeer Kallarakkal in key roles. Recently a video introducing these stars (with the pride flag** as the background) and what characters they play in the movie was unveiled and the film's 'love is political' tagline made much more sense. 

The non-binary is not a subject often touched in Tamil cinema, and Pa. Ranjith seems to have covered the whole LGBTQIA* initialism in his movie. Natchathiram Nagargiradhu also stars Hari Krishnan, Vinoth, Subathra Robert, Regin Rose, Damu, Gnanaprasad, Vinsu Rachel Sam, Arjun Prabhakaran, Uthaiya Surya, Stephen Raj, Sherin Celin Mathew and Manisa Tait.

The film's technical crew includes Kishor Kumar for cinematography and Tenma for music.
