Amazon Prime Video on which Saani Kaayidham starring Selvaraghavan, Keerthy Suresh will be premiering as a direct OTT release has unveiled the first official teaser of the movie. From Keerthy Suresh's monologue in the video, it is hinted that Saani Kaayidham is a revenge story and Selvaraghavan aides Keerthy in this revenge saga.

Directed by Arun Matheswaran, the movie comes with a 'A' certificate and will release on May 6, 2022 (Friday). The film's plot has been revealed thus,

A generational curse, comes true in a senseless act of injustice to Ponni and her family. Ponni (Keerthy Suresh), working as a constable, lives with her five year old daughter Dhanna and her husband Mari, who is working as coolie in a rice mill. But with his involvement in the local politics, tensions rise with him and his higher cast employers, who rape his wife Ponni and brutally murder him and their and daughter by burning them alive in their hut house. A devastated Ponni along with her step brother Sangaiya (Selvaraghavan), with whom she shares a bitter past take the case to the court, but are denied justice. So both driven to rage take revenge on the people that wronged them.

The OTT premiere time of Saani Kaayidham on Amazon Prime Video is expected to be unveiled later. Saani Kaayidham is produced by Screen Scene Media Entertainment and its technical crew includes Sam CS  for music, Yamini Yagnamurthy for cinematography and Nagooran for edits.
