Actor Vijay Sethupathi is gearing up for two major released on April 28 (Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal) and June 3 (Vikram) in Tamil. Maamanithan, also a Vijay Sethupathi starrer was scheduled to release on May 20, due to the back-to-back releases of the actor, the movie has now shifted its release date to June 24, 2022. Studio 9 producer RK Suresh who is presenting the movie,  took to twitter to officially announce this change and wrote,

Due to continue @VijaySethuOffl movie releases studio9 have changed the release date of mamanithan from may 20 th to June 24 . Mamanithan deserves to hold minimum 400 theatres all over tamilnadu . Maamanithan is directed by Seenu Ramasamy and has Yuvan Shankar Raja, Ilayaraja for music. The film also has Gayathrie in an important role and is produced by Yuvan's YSR Films.
