KGF: Chapter 2 which is a Kannada action drama starring Yash in the lead released in theaters worldwide on April 14, 2022. In Tamil Nadu the film released in 200-250 screens initially, a mere number compared to its box-office competitor Beast's 800+ screens. However even on KGF 2's day of release, a lot of theater owners were announcing via twitter that extra shows for the movie were being added due to public demand.

Today as KGF: Chapter 2 entered day 2, a few more twitter handles of theaters in Tamil Nadu announced that they are screening KGF: Chapter 2 in the special show time slots instead of Vijay starrer Beast; a rare scenario considering KGF 2 is a dubbed film and Beast is only on day 3 of its run.

Several special show slots that start as early as 3 AM, are being given to KGF 2 by single screens and smaller multiplexes in Tamil Nadu. Comparatively Beast is being showcased only from 6AM in the early hours.

Not just in Tamil Nadu, but KGF: Chapter 2 is attracting additional shows in regions like Kerala too, owing to the increasing popularity of the movie. Beast however is still dominating with more number of shows in main cities and big multiplex screens.
