Cinephiles are gearing up for a celebratory Tamil New Year/ Easter weekend as Vijay starrer Beast and Yash starrer KGF: Chapter 2 are all set to release on April 13, 2022 and April 14, 2022 respectively. Both movies have major crowd-pulling factors in their own right, and the advance ticket bookings for these films seems to have made those in the trade quite happy.

Day 1 occupancy for KGF: Chapter 2 and Beast is going full throttle in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and overseas and each of the movies have individually performed well in certain regions too. While KGF: Chapter 2 has roaring bookings in Karnatala and Telugu states, Beast has completely dominated Kerala and is expected to set new records with its day 1 collections in Tamil Nadu, USA, UK [where Beast pre-sales is through the roof] among other overseas locations.

In Mumbai and other Hindi regions too it is a KGF 2 Vs RAW clash as the Shahid Kapoor starrer Jersey has postponed its release to April 22, 2022. Shows are filling fast for KGF: Chapter 2 (Hindi) where as advance bookings for RAW (Beast Hindi) had not opened in majority of the regions till this morning.
