The title of RJ Balaji starrer remake of the 2018 Hindi hit Badhaai Ho has been officially revealed as Veetla Vishesham. The first look poster of this Tamil adaptation was unveiled by producer Boney Kapoor and it mimicked the original to an extent, by showcasing the family in the story.

Veetla Vishesham follows the story of Ilango (RJ Balaji) who is brought up in a middle class set-up and has to come to terms with the fact that his aged parents Mrs. and Mr. Unnikrishnan (Urvashi and Sathyaraj) are expecting a new-born. The Tamil version is scheduled to release in theaters on June 17, 2022.

Late veteran actress KPAC Lalitha plays Ammulu Ammal, the family matriarch in Veetla Vishesham, which is jointly directed by RJ Balaji and NJ Saravanan. The technical crew of this film includes Giriishh Gopalakrishnan for music, Karthik Muthukumar for cinematography and Selva RK for edits. The movie is produced by Zee Studios, Bay View Projects and Romeo Pictures.
