Actor Ajith's next with director H. Vinoth and producer Boney Kapoor tentatively goes by the title AK 61 and reportedly, the movie is all set to begin shooting from first week of April, 2022. AK 61 will be filmed at Hyderabad first and a huge set for the movie has already been put up there.

Touted to be a heist action thriller, AK 61 is said to revolve around a bank robbery and the movie will see Ajith play a character with shades of grey (similar to his anti-hero role in Mankatha). The movie has Ghibran for music, Nirav Shah for cinematography and plans to release in theaters for Pongal, 2023.

Kavin, Aditi Rao Hydari among others are said to play pivotal roles in AK 61.
