It was director Nelson Dilipkumar's Doctor that marked the Tamil debut of actress Priyanka Mohan and now buzz is that she has joined the director's upcoming movie Thalaivar 169 (tentative title). The movie is Nelson's first with actor Rajinikanth and is produced by Sun Pictures. However an official announcement on the film's heroine has not been made yet.

Thalaivar 169 marks Nelson Dilipkumar's fourth consecutive collaboration with music composer Anirudh. It is also Anirudh's third Rajinikanth movie after Petta (2019) and Darbar (2020).
