AK 61 (tentative title) is Ajith's upcoming project with producer Boney Kapoor and director H. Vinoth. The film is the third consecutive team-up of the trio after Valimai (2022) and Nerkonda Paarvai (2019) and plans on beginning soon this year. Reports are rife that actor Kavin of Lift fame is all set to join the project for an important role, though official announcements on the same await.

Earlier this month, producer Boney Kapoor officially announced that prep-mode was on for AK 61. Anirudh is said to be composing music for the film, which H.Vinoth has said will be touching on important social issues like his previous works.
