Fans going overboard on the first day first show (FDFS) of a movie's release is a common sight in Tamil Nadu but the amusement quickly turns to distaste when destruction of property and stealing are involved. It wouldn't be an understatement to say that Ajith fans have a repute for damaging theater screens - be it at home or outside the country.

So it wasn't a surprise when theaters once again reported incident of theater property destruction. However unlike overseas, screen-owners have no one to fine or turn to for the loss in damages. One crowd at Salem's ARRS Multiplex that forced entry over delay in the beginning of FDFS, were even found with no movie tickes on them and were asked to exit.

Before the release of Valimai, the Tamil Nadu Dairy Agents’ Welfare Association, has advised dairy agents to be wary of the possibility of milk packets getting stolen. They said that it was a common occurrence during every big star's release but had especially released a video for this Ajith movie.

True to their warning, milk and curd packets were openly lifted off a moving dairy vehicle and splattered on Ajith's cut-outs and producer Boney Kapoor's car.
