Actor Ajith is teaming up with director H. Vinoth and producer Boney Kapoor for the third time with AK 61 (tentative title). The movie is expected to go on floors early March 2022, with Ajith playing a character with negative shades like he did in Mankatha (2011), Billa (2007/2012), Varalaru (2006) and Vaalee (1999).

Latest we hear, team AK 61 is in the process of finalizing its cast and crew and most likely Nirav Shah would come on-board as the film's cinematographer. As for the film's female lead, Pooja Hegde is being linked on one hand, while on the other it is buzzed that Ajith will be reuniting with someone he has worked before - like Nayanthara or Tabu.

The latter name also aligns with the murmur that a Bollywood actor will be seen in an important role in AK 61. Composers Anirudh, Ghibran have previously been associated with Ajith 61 but no official announcements have been made yet.
