Karthik Subbaraj directed Mahaan starring Vikram in the lead is gearing up for a direct OTT release on Amazon Prime Video. MovieCrow had previously reported that the movie will make its digital premiere during January, 2022 end and now we hear the film will be available to stream from republic day this year i.e. January 26, 2022 (Wednesday).

A gangster thriller, Mahaan is touted to revolve around Vikram's titular character and Dada, the young protagonist played by Dhruv Vikram. The movie also stars Vani Bhojan, Simran, Bobby Simha among others and has Santhosh Narayanan for music.

The Seven Screen Studio produced movie, is said to have been certified U/A and expected to come with a run-time of 2 hours 33 minutes.
