Samuthirakani directed and acted in a movie titled Vinodhaya Sitham which released directly on Zee 5 OTT platform on October 13, 2021. The movie followed the story of a self-centered man dying in an accident and being granted 90 more days of life to change things he screwed. It received rave reviews upon release and reportedly Samuthirakani now plans on remaking the movie. 

Apparently Samuthirakani has Mohanlal and Pawan Kalyan in mind for the Malayalam, Telugu remake of Vinodhaya Sitham and it remains to be seen if either of the actors come on board. It is worth mentioning here that a Telugu dubbed version of the film is already streaming on Zee 5.
