Taramani fame Vasanth Ravi will next be seen as the lead of an upcoming thriller titled Rocky, which until recently was expected to release directly on the Sony Liv OTT platform. However, Vignesh Shivan's Rowdy Pictures which is presenting the film has confirmed that Rocky will be releasing in theaters for Christmas on December 23, 2021 (Thursday).

The film will be meeting Pa. Ranjith produced Writer (December 24, 2021) starring Samuthirakani at the box-office. Rocky is directed by Arun Matheswaran and also stars Bharathi Raja, Raveena Ravi, Rohini among others. The film has music by Darbuka Siva.
