Sun Pictures has announced that an official update on Etharkkum Thunindhavan will be out at 12:00 PM today and it may or may not be about the release date of the movie. We had previously reported that the Suriya starrer was looking at a Pongal clash with Ajith's Valimai but now we hear January 26, 2022 might be locked as the release date instead.

ET directed by Pandiraj will be releasing in other South languages too too many Telugu biggies scheduled to release during Pongal is said to have influenced this change. However this is just hearsay at this point and only the official announcement from Sun Pictures itself can give a clear picture.
